It is the mission of Richmond Early College High School (REaCH) to promote academic excellence, civic responsibility, respect of all individuals, and success in all endeavors.  Our students will be connected, productive members of the community.

Richmond Early College High School (REaCH) will provide a school climate enabling students to feel free to accept and express ideas without fear or prejudice. Students will communicate openly with not only other students, but also with the staff. This open communication will foster positive relationships.

REACH gained an amazing teacher this year - Mrs. Courtney Deane!

One of our amazing English teachers at Richmond Early College is Mrs. Courtney Deane!

Mrs. Deane teaches English I Honors and English II Honors to our 9th grade students.  This is her 5th year at REaCH, and her 22nd in education.  She earned her teaching degree at Appalachian State University.  

Mrs. Deane is married to Jason, and they have two sons - Trent and Rhett.  She enjoys walking, reading, and frequent trips to the beach.  Her favorite things about being at REaCH are the amazing students, faculty, and staff!

The 2024 Richmond Early College High School Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Julie Howard!

Mrs. Howard teaches Math at REaCH.  She has been a teacher in Richmond County for 25 years.

Mrs. Howard is a teacher of the heart, whose passion for teaching and learning is eclipsed only by her dedication to her students' wellbeing. She embodies the qualities of an exemplary educator and is clearly deserving of the Teacher of the Year award. Mrs. Howard’s commitment to her students extends far beyond the classroom as she tirelessly supports and uplifts them in every aspect of their lives. Always willing to lend a helping hand, she goes above and beyond to assist not only her students but also her colleagues and anyone within the school community. Mrs. Howard’s involvement in co-advising the Yearbook club and providing after-school tutoring exemplifies her unwavering dedication to fostering student success and growth. Her kindness, honesty, integrity, and infectious positivity radiate throughout the school, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Julie Howard's impact as a teacher and mentor is immeasurable, and her selfless dedication to her students' wellbeing makes her a true asset to our school community.  We are honored that she is ours.
